I have read over 20 of these and for my years that seems very poor indeed. On the other hand, I am not a 'reader" so it does not seem too bad either!

and read (takign them in order of the list)

Pride & Prejudice (needed a dictionary)
The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe (and the other 6 books)
1st book of His dark Materials (crap)
Harry potter (all 7, dear god)
The 1st collection of Sherlock Holmes stories

and that is it. and rather proud that i had more fun with my reading than that list. Where's Pratchett? eh? EH?!

Don't think i've read any of these, lol. Wondered what was missing in my life, now i know. I haven't been reading the right books. I'm going to have to change my reading habits.

I've got 16 of them (note that I didn't say read!). An interesting list; however, I agree with some of the comments: No Anne Frank? No Bible/Koran/Torah? No Dickens?

    Still, it started a debate.

    No Enid Blyton!

Called too simplistic these days and on the outer with educators however they taught me to read back in the 50's.

Famous Five.....................oh for those "simplistic" days.

Am glad at least one Narnia book got in, even if it is an advertisement for rabid christianity.

    (No Pratchett muttergrumblecomplain)
