Some of you may know that for quite some time I have been interested in Squadron Leader Mahender Singh Pujji DFC. Well I've just been sent the following link to a new article with lots of new information and fantastic pictures from S/L Pujji's personal album:

"Then whose battle was it?" - Sqn Ldr M S Pujji DFC

Cheers Jagan for sending me the link via rafcommands.

I've always enjoyed reading about the S/L but this article is particularly well written. I can't think of a better written one off hand, actually. Would be a wonderful basis for a book. It's cool how you see correlations with other people you've read about. From memory, I think Bush Cotton served with 43 before heading to Burma after also being offered to fly in Russia. Pujji's course to Burma was a bit more convoluted, mind you! Kittyhawks in the desert? My type of bloke!

Kyt, have you got around to arranging a meeting with the S/L or do I need to send Kitty to slap you around a bit to make you do it?

This is a brilliant article and I've got a question; did Pujji shoot down any enemy aircraft?

A modest man, he just mentions the first one in passing in this article.
