Again, the government sits on its hands in relation to the Gurkhas. "We've used you, now b*gger off".
This makes my stomach turn over ! the injustice of it all ! and yet he said: “The thought that my British colleagues appreciated my actions enough to award me a gallantry medal still moves me to tears. I was overjoyed that Prince Philip flew to meet me and the other troops, and that he would take the time to care about us.” but I feel so helpless ..... what can we do to help ??
Prince Harry was looked after by Gurkhas in Afghanistan. Perhaps he could lend his "persuasion" to the cause?
Let us see what the test case comes up with. Surely the British Government realises the eyes of the world are on them in this totally abhorrent treatment of these loyal soldiers.
With this government .... don't hold your breath! Come to think of it not sure that a government of any other hue has acted decently with regard to the Gurkhas. It shames us all!
All I can see is that they (the Government) will not stand up to their obligations to these people who have fought for Britain and her people for 200?? years?
