Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few

Please remember all those young men and women who gave their lives for Britain's survival, and ultimately, victory against the Nazis.

I'm ashamed to say I've never seen the memorial in this picture. Where is it exactly and how long has it been there? Presumably, from the background, its near the London Eye. Its not the Capel-le-Ferne memorial, judging by the website in the link.

We had a decent-sized formation flypast yesterday by GA aircraft. Saw it on the news. Would have flown over the CBD and beach areas, i suspect but not over us to the SE.

    Thanks Kyt
Must be just along from HMS President, where I go for Cross & Cockade meetings. But I come down from Blackfriars, which is the opposite direction. Next time, I'll walk along to the memorial

Taking July 10th as the start date of the BoB, this is probably the first Australian to be killed.

A number of BoB commerations have been held around the country, and in Canada and other countries today, including one at Westminster Abbey

But it was paid for, like the rest of materials bought from neutral countries by the belligerents at that time.
