Just read the sad news that Paul Newman has just died of cancer. As well as being one of my favourite actors he was also a veteran, having served as a radio operator on torpedo bombers in the Pacific. My friend always liked to think he was on a par with Paul Newman ( ?? ) .... they both wanted to be pilots and they both couldn't - because they were colour blind !! hwell: Paul Newman was terrific .... it's a sad day ! RIP Paul
RIP to one of the legends. I'm a big James Stewart fan and he was often regarded, when acting, as "just Jimmy Stewart being Jimmy Stewart". Paul Newman had that same effortless look when acting.
