I hope people stop for the two minutes silence today. From what I have been reading a lot of veterans are angry at the fact that shoppers around the country continued with their activities whilst those gathered at their respective memorials held their tributes.

Just watched the ceremony on BBC this morning. did'nt realise they are the last 3 veterans alive. The 112 year old, (reportedly the oldest man in Europe) was a part of the founding of the RAF. Harry Patch, 110, is the last survivor to have fought in the ww1 trenches. and the 108 year old is the last known veteran to have fought in ww1 and ww2.
