The helmets too. The faces look like masks and it seems that all of the names on the door frame are womens names. Maybe its an advert for the movie of the same name.
That's because it is a painting. Someone has taken the picture (attached) of the 6th Airlanding Brigade preparing for D-Day, and done a rendition. Note the different names though. One of the nicknames for paratroopers and glider troops was Angels with Dirty Faces because of the camo paint (probably a play on the Hollywood film)

Could it be a section from the Overlord Embroidery? I have never seen pictures of more than a couple of sections but it looks of a similar style
