I don't think you could deal with it in any way. What an amazing but sobering coincidence. 128 Sqn must be the RCAF unit as 128 RAF re-formed with Hurris in Sierra Leone in October 1941. No, that doesn't work either as they were a fighter unit based in Canada. Ah, just saw this He would have been flying a Wellington from Marham Downham. He was posted to 218 from No. 19 OTU. 218 (Gold Coast) Squadron Association
I've lost 2 sons ... not on the same day ... but still devastating nonetheless ! I figured I had 2 options ... one was to take to the bottle or I could help somebody else .... I threw myself into researching other people ( mostly soldiers ) ... hoping that I could help somebody find a man they were looking for ! I'm still rather obsessive compulsive about it ... but I get a big kick out of finding somebody that somebody has been looking for for a long time !
I am really sorry to hear that Annie. If I had known I would not have posted it. You are a very strong woman. I lost my wife to cancer over seven years ago and that was hard enough to bear. I could not even think about losing a child. My girls are my life and are now 24 & 16.
Don't worry about the post Geoff ( I didn't mean to make you feel bad ! ) .... life still goes on and we can't walk on eggshells .... but I thank you for the thought ! Just keep loving your girls !! .... and telling them every day how wonderful they are !!
