Project Epsilon was the name for the interning of Heisenberg and nine other scientists - they were held at Farm Hall, Godmanchester .... I lived there for a few years ... ( in Godmanchester not Farm Hall !! ) and it was quite common knowledge about the Germans being kept there instead of going to Russia !! McVay, survived the sinking and was later charged by the Navy with hazarding his ship by failing to steer a zigzag course during “good visibility.” The zigzagging tactic was used by Navy commanders to make their ships more difficult targets. McVay was convicted. In 1968, he took his own life. In 2000, Congress passed a resolution clearing McVay of wrongdoing. It was just good to know that he was given recognition before he died. Moe Berg was another very interesting fugure. An ace athlete as well as being so intellevtually gifted, One doesn't see that nowadays
Well he was given recognition and his name really cleared in his sons lifetime anyways ! .... what a thrill that must have been for them !! Moe Berg was "the bomb" .... there was a program on TV about him .... one of the best educated intellectually accomplished and patriotic Jewish athletes in the history of American sports !!
