Is this the same US military Laboratory that experimented with Thought Control, and had its researchers staring at goats for hours?
No! The goat starers were the US Special Forces! Funnily enough, I have just finished two books which deal with both subjects. The Men Who Stare at Goats by Jon Ronson The Stargate Conspiracy By Lynn Picknett and Clive Prince. This one goes into to other subjects as well, one in particular and that is "Remote viewing" which was used by the US Army and the CIA.
When I had my house broken into, I came back to find the place tastefully redecorated and the furniture moved, and a quiche in the oven The police blamed the local gay community!:busted_blue:
What a life! I miss my Saturdays and Sundays when I lived in Belmont. (Near Ascot racecourse). A couple of good Taverns close handy with great food.
It was turned into a TV programme, but I only saw parts of it when it was shown here. I got my copy from a local Oxfam Charity shop priced at £1.59!
Geoff, do we have Oxfam shops or the like down here? Haven't come across second hand shops that have really good, cheap military sections but perhaps I'm not looking hard enough. I think the pubs around Belmont are now dives with skimpies! Can you remember the pubs' names? Will try for some pics for ya!
Turfside Tavern in Guildford rd? Belmont Tavern (Great Eastern Highway) Belvedere Tavern (Sunday School) Laundromat/Pool/Beer/Food in that order.
I think the Belmont is still around. The Turfside is in Grandstand Rd and haven't heard of the Belvedere. There is a Winning Post Tavern on Belvedere Rd in Belmont though.
