Hi Lee, I may be thick, but on entering "ping -t ww2.chat.com" I receive "not a recognised command" Should your message actually read. when black window opens type in "-t ww2chat.com" (now known to be wrong) Replies from anyone appreciated. Cheers Keith:noidea:
Slow Hey It worked !!!! Don't know what I did before but my results were:- Ping statistics for 78.129.180.27 Packets sent 16 Rec'd 16 lost 0 (0% loss) approximate round trip times in milliseconds. Min 15ms Max 35ms average 18ms Whew, done, Yipee:drum: Keith
I got new glasses today so consequently I was hopeful that the site would be faster. Seems about the same.
Ping !!! Hi Lee, I have no real problems, thanks to you and the others, showing me the error of my ways ! Now I've learnt how to load the various bits and pieces i hope I dont get too boring ! Thanks again Cheers Keith:hug:
Ping statistics for 78.129.180.27: Packets: Sent = 29, Received = 29, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 120ms, Maximum = 135ms, Average = 123ms
With no loss and 123ms average round trip the server and your connection is perfectly fine. If this was affecting more people I woudl suspect that its vbulletin but thats not the case either.
I sent you an email Lee last night .... it was exceptionally slow and then it just wouldn't connect at all ... either on here or WW1 Maybe it was the US having problems !! Annie
The website is possibly the fastest I have ever seen it:music: The letters in the posts do not look pale anymore they are that normal dark black color so I am having no problems. I just was on ww1 talk . co . uk . com and that is fast also
The server did shut down this morning for no reason, but I started it about 9.35am so that would explain why it was slow and then not connecting for a while. But everything else appears fine.
Can you let me know how the site is running over the next 48 hours or so, especially David, made some DNS changes to the server to see it that helps.
