Have used some lateral thinking and I reckon that's the tunnel through the wall of Derwent Dam. My only concern with that answer is I can't see a curve in the tunnel.

I was stood at the top of the steps down to the first pump room under the Dambuster museum tower. And Keith, tsk tsk! You are only in Macc!
