Why do I always think of the ruling party in V for Vendetta whenever I read anything on the BNP?

Mmm...Whats this story actually about? I don't fully understand.
By using Churchill's name in a campiane,is that in the wrong?Plus is this stating that Churchill was kind of racist towards muslims during his time?
What's this about churchill being chucked out ,if he was alive today!
Would this give Churchill a bad name ,if his name does get used?

Heidi, I think you need to see who the BNP are and what their "policies" are.

They cannot purport to insinuate that Churchill would agree with their policies today as it is conjecture.

I do not think I would have liked Churchill "the man" however much of what we have today is due to his dogged determination not to appease Adolf Hitler and get the US involved in Europe first.

Churchill was quite forthright in his opinions on most matters however he was a statesman and many of his opinions/statements came to pass.

I hate it when people make value judgements on historical figures. What is the norm, or socially acceptable, is continually changing (not always for the better). He was of his time and as Spidge says, regardless of what one may have made of the man, the world certainly needed someone of his stature in those dark days.

Yet another example of these fanatics trying to hijack things for their own twisted agenda?

Heidi the BNP are right wing fascists who are trying to present a respectable front whilst trading upon fear and ignorance to further their own cause.
