I'm afraid you're stuck with me today ...... can't do anything ... go anywhere .... etc etc !! :ballchain: Started with a bit of snow overnight ... at 6am the snow was on the grass but the streets were just wet ...... 7am ... whiteout conditions !! And it's a bit "parky" !! Plus .... stupid me ...... left my drivers side window half open last night .... I'm not going out there now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :der:
You can have it if you like Kitty .... I'll share .... !! ( with a bit of luck the sun will be shining tomorrow !! ) I'm making "comfort food" in the crock pot ..... chicken and dumplings !!!! :clapping::clapping: that should keep us warm !!
We got 10 inches ....... looks really pretty looking from the inside out .... but I'm dreading having to shovel .............. :decision::decision: Denver News, Denver, Colorado News, Weather, and Sports - KMGH Denver's Channel 7 The guy across the street was using his snow blower earlier ... waste of time ..... it's just as bad now and plus it's drifting .... about 20 inches outside my front door !!
Hush up David !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're another show off !! ...... don't you have some chain sawing to do or something ??
Welcome aboard, rolist. Annie, chicken and dumplings? How fast is the mail in your neck of the woods? :becky:
Kitty .... where were you when I needed you ?? .... I'm too pooped to participate now ...... I've been shovellin' !!:aikido: 12 inches of snow ... with drifts between 24 - 30 inches .......... And apparently it's not done yet ... but today the sun is shining and the sky is blue ... just waiting for tonight !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really wanted to use that naughty smilie David ...... but thought I'd better not !! Apart from shoveling the snow ....... it's great here !! .... I remember the days when we had to walk home in the fog ...... and be filthy rotten dirty when we got there !! So I believe Colo has better Kodak memories !!
So Annie and David can be in the same country, and one has snow and one has 70 degrees! I guess America is quite a big place then!
Thanks you all for making me feel welcome. My interest in WW2 started recently – a bit of a long story. Here in Israel – a decision was taken to built a museum to commemorate the Jewish Warier during WW2 The word warier was chosen to include the partisans and underground movements. The Museum, for which some budget has been already allocated, will be built in the memorial site of the Israeli Armoured Forces place called LATRUN, an ex British Mandate Police site on the way to Jerusalem. That site, which is one of the world largest tank museums, is managed by the Armoured Forces Association, of which I am a member. We are at the very beginning of a long journey – but that is how I found myself involved in the subject ADMIN EDIT: Rolist - I have copied your post into a new thread so as not to get lost http://ww2chat.com/forums/introductions/4779-hello-rolist.html
Give or take a mile or two I would suggest that Annie and I are 1200 miles apart. In addition where I live on the Alabama Gulf Coast we are 80 feet above sea level (asl). Dependant on where in Colorado Annie lives she could as high as 7000 ft. asl. So from me to Annie's is uphill all the way. She is so high that I think some of her posts are the result of hypoxia.
