Thinking out loud, how hard would it be for governments to enact laws to demand proof of ownership of medals?
In America the Stolen Valor Act of 2005 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia makes it harder for the sale of medals. I think it is a minefield. A lot of medals are ungraved and so tracking them back when stolen is difficult. And I have said this before - I can understand that family members may need to sell medals because of financial need but I still think it is wrong.
