    Hello all,
My dad joined the batallion in Perth Western Australia in 1941, went to Middle East, then onto Orcades with Weary, to Java, captured, then onto Changi, Burma railway, back to Singapore and over to Japan on the Byoki Maru.
He died in 1971 when I was 12 so I didnt learn of any of his experiences at all. I have done alot of research, met a lot of people and documented all so I can piece together his war experience. Probably the two highlights in my research have been taking my mum up to Thailand and meeting many of the units members on the quiet lion tour. I do have many notes still in draft form and plan to write it up.
If anyone has any notes or images that can help me I would love to make contact. I am very happy to also help anyone with their research.
Please PM here and I will get back to you.
    Regards
    Vicki

Vicki, would be very interested to find out more about your friend's Grandad who was in the RAF. Be sure to start a new thread on each person.
