Cool....I am like you but i am the oppossite from you,I like men in uniform lol. Yes,there were female russian snipers,I now of one. name is : LIDLIYA GUDOVANTSEVA. I don't know too much about her but I do know that Russia was the leading female deployer during ww2.
Do you know if ever during ww2 that England,America and Germany and Italy ever deployed female snipers like the Russian did?
Russia was the only country to allow women to fight in ww2. Women did have a BIG role in ww2..They helped make our planes, and tanks...They welded, and they were riviters(probably spelled it wrong).etc.
This is about "Women Soldiers" I believe that females can be part of the war, meaning fighting in wars (infantry). I don't believe that we (females) are disable species that need men to fight for us,really we are cabale in doing what men do in wars.
Do you mean fought or fraught? I think it was the women who fraught whilst the men fought. As far as working in a factory and playing baseball my mother and her sister did neither.
From the Concise English Dictionary - FRAUGHT - involved in, full of, threatening or promising. I have been looking at this thread with interest and resisting the temptation to give my two-pennyworth... until now ..... Having been involved in the fight for womens' rights, I think I, along with many of my peers, are somewhat saddened to see women on the front line. Not for a second because anyone doubts a woman's ability to perform as well as a man in similar circumstances (I too would make a very formidable opponent if any of mine were threatened) but because we rather hoped that we would be able to moderate the desire to fight to solve a problem (totally accepting that sometimes one is left with no choice). I freely admit to being full of hypocrisy on the subject (as indeed I think are many others) because as much as I think that it is outrageous, however many years on, that equal pay and opportunities are still not achieved, if ever my house is on fire I would like a big burly fireman to rescue me please and for my husband to continue to open the door for me etc. etc...
From an on line dictionary. adj. 1. Filled with a specified element or elements; charged: an incident fraught with danger; an evening fraught with high drama. 2. Marked by or causing distress; emotional: "an account of a fraught mother-daughter relationship" The way I was thinking was that the women were "fraught with anticipation" as what was happening with their men folk. A little off topic eh?
My wife certainly believes that women are more decisive and make up their minds quicker... There are persistent rumours of Turkish women snipers in Gallipoli in WW1. And the Russians had female tank drivers in WW2. They were fine in combat, but hopeless at parking the things..... :bolt:
yes C/K. I am talking about America, when the men went to war,the women took over the national baseball league. Have you seen " A League Of There Own" Cheers.
Howdy CTNana. I would like to for my husband (I don't have one yet)too open my door for me and have a hunky Fireman save me aswell I agree completly. But,I still can't see why there is a problem for women in the front lines, for many years now, women have been in male wars (ww1,ww2,and the mexico wars in early 1900's. The only thing that i can think of that is different from a man and a women is pysical stretgh but that's the only thing,I don't see why one thing shoukd stop women from fighting on the front line. ps, I do love the olden days when men and women had there set jobs like the men worked while the women stayed home with babies, but i was born in the 1990's,so thats what i have learnt, women can do a mans job.
