    Hi this looks to be the place to start .I am a rather keen ww2 and ww1 fanatic
    With a passion for medals in particular RAAF, RAF,RCAF and RNZAF . I was in the RAAF for 12 years some years ago now.

    Hi yes its a group to Sqn leader later Air Commodore John Sheffield a Canadian navigator/pilot on wellingtons and Lancasters ww2 and on to NATO service entitled to Canadian centenary medal and UN MEDAL and second bar to CD decoration medal retired 1979 .I need to get a slightly bigger pic,one of my favorite groups

    Is that not the 8th battalion ww1 patch minus the A in middle for Gallipoli

    Hi Tony,

    You are correct.

    8th Battalion: Australian War Memorial

    They are the same:

    One is the 8th Battalion in WW1 which was part of 2nd Brigade

    My dads is the "2nd/8th" part of 19th Brigade of the 2nd AIF
