I hope i am at the right place to start this thread if not Moderator move it at the right place thanks

I acquired a month ago a small grouping for a Canadian soldier Name Elmer Eadie.
Since then i have tried to find out a little bit more about him without success .

The only info i have it's his name Elmer Eadie and that he was conscripted in Newmarket in 1941
    That's about it .
I was reading on this forum some link to go for info on soldier services ect but once you read what they want ( family ,ex- vet only ) for people like me who just want to know a little bit more on one soldier can't find anything .

Can anyone tell me where to go to obtain those info especially somebody who are not related to the soldier.
    Thanks

    Hi Frenchy,

I do not know alot about the Canadian system however someone else on the forum may be switched on to how to go about it!

I googled an L. Elmer Eadie who was a Captain in the RCOC REME but that is about it.

    Cheers

    Hi Annie,

One and the same. He seemed to hide the L in his name.
