    Hello Emma,

Good to see you over here. My genealogy is credit crunched for the moment. :D

    Annie,

That was more by luck than judgement.
I just went back to see what AOMDA was all about and spotted his name.

I was looking in Checkley and Stoke on Trent !!!!!!!!! ;);)

( Boy ! they've cleaned up Genuki ... it looks so much better !! )

I did find this though about the 3d Cavalry .....

In August 1917, the Regiment was alerted for overseas duty. Arriving in France in November, the Regiment was broken up and operated three major remount depots until the war’s end. The only actual 3d Cavalry unit to see action in WWI was K Troop, which was detached from the 3d Squadron and participated in the last three engagements prior to the Armistice of 11 November 1918. After WWI, the Regiment deployed back to the United States and executed a garrison mission until the beginning of World War II.

I can't find Reggie under Reginald ... I found 6 ... but none appear to be him !!

    http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/...pqd2jpph7&q1=king&q2=reginald&q3=&interval=20

Then I checked the 10th Battalion, Canadian Railway Troops War Diaries ....... and on 17th October War Diary says 3 ORs to the hospital ... sickness ! ( in fact they seemed to have sickness everyday ! )

    http://data2.collectionscanada.ca/e/e059/e001473559.jpg

They don't seem to have had casualties that day .... maybe you guys can see something I can't ! ... I looked 10 days either side !

I can't find Reggie either Annie, but then they never have the CEF attestation papers that I want!!!!

Is it because he was a US citizen, because he's not on the Canadian Virtual Memorial or CWGC, that I can find?
Is there another US database other than ABMC?

I've just had a look at SDGW and I'm wondering after finding this one:

    Reginald King
    Pte; M2/114698; Army Service Corps
    Born; Wichmore, Staffs
    Enlisted; Liverpool
    Residence; Stoke on Trent
    Died of wounds, 17/10/17
    France and Flanders

    And this confirms it: http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=145409
