Bristol Beaufighter

    I wonder what happened to the Beaufighters used by the Israeli Air Force, must try and find out!

    I had those in my bookmarks - problem is that some of my bookmarks aren't properly labelled, and so takes ages to find anything.

    I suspect this is the aircraft featured in the awesome Naxos video above with the beautifully clear water. Anyone get the Oct issue of Aeroplane Monthly?!

    A complete and almost intact RAF Bristol Beaufighter has been discovered by divers at a depth of about 110ft in the eastern Aegean, off the island of Naxos. Its identity has not yet been ascertained, but it could be from 252 or 108 Sqn. This is just a taster - see October's Aeroplane magazine for the full story and exclusive pictures.

    Here's a couple of shot's I took at the USAF Museum in Dayton, last year. Fantastic place and took well over 2000 pics in the two days I was there.

    Geedee, from memory (dodgy) a former Aussie Beau? I need to get my act together and post a pic of the Spidgeman in front of the Moorabbin Beau.
