Errr, you may just have to give it Morse. Andy is busy at the moment and I can't think of anything else
1 The Fortress cannot rely on evasion of enemy aircraft below 32 ooo feet. 2 Once intercepted the Fortress has little chance against modern fighters. 3 Despite reputed accuracy of the Sperry sight, precise bombing with the Fortress above 32 ooo feet is extremely difficult, due to physical and mental strain im posed in using equipment at that great height. 4 Dependence on suitable weather to carry out attack limits the frequency of operations. 5 Condensation trails can cause a raid to be abandoned. Gives away position of the 6-17. 6 The average bomb load is uneconomical in relation to the manning and maintenance effort.
OK Industria Aeronautica Romania (IAR) 81. Romanian fighter-bomber / dive bomber. Not a bad aircraft, developed about 1941/42
Go on Andy, stick up a question. Errr, should I just guess now and save you effort? Is it a Beaufighter/fort? :becky:
Crap, I have to think now, Kyt. Thanks. :> Hee hee. You know me too well! Hang on a tick, just crunched the brain into gear. If you can't find it, grind it.
Great question Andy. I will award bonus points to anyone who gets it (BTW, yes I do know what it is/was)
I better answer it then! :becky: I had a major chuckle when I learned of this and others. Very clever.
