Go Ashley! Spidge, where the feck is Wolverhampton? And yes I can say that with a brummy accent. RANT: at work. RANT: Didn't get in till half 12 this morning thanks to a family do. RANT: which was a bloody race night, cost me money and didn't win a thing. RAVE: least the momeny went to Christies. RANT: soooooooooooooooooooo tired. RAVE: half way through this nasty little essay. UBER-RANT: Only the maps and photos to be sorted now. RANT: So much plannign work to be done. RANT: Dissertation work on back burner. RANT: I feel ick. This really isn't going to be a good weekend
There's two routes that one can take - motorway, or A road. Outside rush hour, the motorway would probably be about 40 minutes, and A road about an hour and 10. However, the A road is a much nicer route, with some nice scenery. That's from my doorstep - which is slap bang in the middle of Bristol, and so it takes 15 minutes to get to the motorway or A road anyway. err, and we're taking about the way I drive - I only have two speeds - fast or stopped.
I have slowed down a lot since I was her age but considering the speeds I used to drive I'm surprised I'm still alive. Even though I was a complete maniac behind the wheel I have never ever driven after a drink (not even after just one drink. An absolute no-no).
Oooooooooooooooh that Wolverhampton! Like Crewe the best thing ever to happen to it was the Luftwaffe. Worst thing was what came afterwards.
But I'm also very safety conscious RANT: People taking the mickey out of people with disabilities RAVE: The thought of inflicting severe pain on those very same people with my "go faster" stick
Be a long stick to reach here mate unless you gave me a cyber-bashing... Always thought you liked airbags.
What a con!!!!! I was just filing away my credit card statement and was about to throw away a little note which advised of changes to the way that interest is charged. If you don't pay your bill off in full EVERY month, interest now accrues from the date the statement is produced until the date that it is settled in full. Since there will always be a time lag (totally beyond the control or validation of the customer) between its production by the company and receipt by the customer, even if the bill is settled in full, interest will still be due for this period. Once again the less well off are penalised. Guess they have to make up losses (in profits that is!!!) somehow since chip and pin hasn't lived up to expectations. My brother, sister-in-law and two close friends have all had their cards cloned within the last month! Just about to cut this up and use another.
I gave up using a CC because of these stupid changes. Now it's either debit card (and as it's Visa it has the same protection) or paypal. I bet your company has/will either suggest direct debit payments and/or online banking where you make instant payments without waiting for the paper bill. It's a con because it saves them staffing costs. It's like overdraft charges - banks make so much money on these "extras" and then claim thatthey have to recoup bad debts. It's not my fault if they lend money to people who can't afford to pay.
I work for a credit card company! And you are correct, but its the way that CC companies make their money!
I thought that it was primarily made from the fee charged to retailers / suppliers. I accept interest being charged if I am late paying etc. but I have no idea how long my statement sits in their offices before being posted, nor how long the Post Office will take to actually put it through my door. I actually do bank electronically and usually settle it in full but if I didn't for any one month it would still take me a further two to eradicate the charges again because I would never be able to pay the instant the statement is produced. No point in getting irritated really is there? Heads they win, tails we lose!
