Have been thinking about this for a while after posting the "Moth" Eaton thread. Just came across some other great nicknames and thought I'd share. These guys were 260 Sqn pilots and are mentioned in Ron Cundy's A Gremlin on my Shoulder.

    Sgt Tom "Polly" Parrot

    P/O "Sticky" Glew

Post away if you have more!

The lad who now runs the V&W Association is known as 'Stormy' Fairweather. No idea what his real first name is.

With you now, Ron, after your edit! :becky: Good one.

I didn't get it straight away either, AR, but I wasn't that slow. :becky: Only kidding. Actually, I thought their explanation of his getting the nickname ""Moth" because of his affiliation with the aircraft of the same name was a good story but I was way more inclined to think it was because of his surname.
