Have been thinking about this for a while after posting the "Moth" Eaton thread. Just came across some other great nicknames and thought I'd share. Actually, I thought their explanation of his getting the nickname ""Moth" because of his affiliation with the aircraft of the same name was a good story but I was way more inclined to think it was because of his surname.

"Rocky" Mountain, 264 Sqn nav for Mike Muir in 1943 as mentioned on page 84 of Owen's aforementioned book.

Did some googling and found out some Nick names for the British. Germans called the British pararchute unit the *Red Devils* The other nuicknames every one knows about,so i won't bother putting them up!
