    A few Sunderlands again Northern Ireland based aircraft from castle Archdale on Lower Lough Erne.

    These are 422 and 423 RCAF Sunderlandsmoored at Aechdale , the painting if by Michael Rondot - 201 Sunderlands having returned from the last active patrol of WW2.

    I bought a copy of the print back in 1995 , the twio images are from photos. merged into this background.
    The high ground certainly camae from a photos as it accurately depicts and describes the southern cliff face of the Lower Lough a feature which returning or visting aircrews had to treat with respect.

    I wouldn't mind seeing that other great Shorts monster, the Stirling, in one piece.
