And now, merely for your delectation and the opportunity to annoy Kyt and Andy, here is the first of my many signed prints. As I have so many photos I'll do a print or so each day. Freedom Fighters by Steve Teasedale - Polish pilots and commanders Feel free to play spot the signature over the next week or so
The wrinkling is on the plastic cover. And I knew I should have made a note of the titles as I was doing the photos. Dambusters Off by Simon Atack Come Hell & High Water
First Flight The Blenheim at Duxford museum. These prints are signed by the current pilot and the guy putting up the money for her restoration. I was fortunate enough to get one of those also signed by ex Blenheim aircrew.
Practice Run A Very special print, was given to me for my 27th Birthday. i had seen the image before online, but this was bought at the Dam Museum in derbyshire where it was also signed.
You are a lucky Girl !!!!!!! Terrific pictures Kitty ....... those boys are going to be drooling !! :mosking: ( and a few more !! ) .........
Though I would love to say something snide I just can't - I am very jealous Kitty. Though the Hell & High Water isn't signed, the image is great. And Practice Run is a very unusual setting. But my favourite so far has to be the Blenheim one - just because it is a Blenheim and you have Blenheim crew siggies which are pretty rare. Keep'em coming. I will only start ranting when your siggy count exceeds mine (which I don't think will take long )
Considering the number of prints I have, it took 108 photos to do all the signatures. Cheers Annie! Thats the idea, after all this gloating over books the last few months. Tallboy Away (I am still trying to figure out what Vera Lynn has to do with this)
Ok, am now seriously getting jealous Didn't you know? Before precision guided-bombs, Vera used to have to ride the tallboys down and then jump off at the last minute. Would have got a VC except it was all very hush-hush. And the added bonus was that her screeching (sorry singing) was our revenge for the Stuka siren
Who cares (although Kyt's explanation makes sense)? The most important thing is you have her signature. I think my favourite print would have to be Practice Run simply because it is different. The Richard Todd signature is certainly something different as well. A stunning collection if ever there was one. Looking forward to when you get them framed. They'll really 'pop' then!
Ooh my favouriteest one of them all so far. I got this signed personally at a very rain drenched Airshow in Duxford last year. I was the only girl in the signing line and the fly boys were very surprised to see me there. Got to chat to them all and they were all lovely.
Another Teasedale and then a replica print. Thats it, the next one will require two posts just to cover all the signature son it.
OK, now you have definately beaten me on the siggy front ( I do like the Manchester profile. And the Mossie is a superb drawing
