The late Ronnie Barker would have done this much better and been a lot funnier! When I was at University, there was an apocryphal story of a maths lecturer who covered the entire blackboard with complicated equations. After a particularly long one, he wrote "therefore it is obvious that:" before the next one. A student called out in despair: "Is it obvious?" The lecturer stood back from the board and looked at it in silence for five whole minutes, before saying: "Yes" and carrying on with his equations.
The late Ronnie Barker would have done this much better and been a lot funnier! Ronnie Barker would have done it well. So would Professor Stanley Unwin.
