Hi All, The second airworthy CAC Boomerang took to the air recently. Here are a couple of photos. Cheers Owen View attachment 3459 View attachment 3460
Indeed it is Mike. Here is the sister ship, restored at an earlier date. Cheers Owen View attachment 3466
Is the Zuccoli Boomer still airworthy? What's not obvious with the 'new' oomer is that there is a second seat behind the pilot and the way the glazing folds back to accomodate this modification is a work of art. The ranks of flying Boomerangs will swell considerably in the next few years as there's several projects that are approaching completion.
Sorry, Owen, that's the Boomer I was referring to. Should have split it from my comment re the Zuccoli airframe.
I have a soft spot for Bomerangs as it was the first war bird model i put together and luckily it was a large model. Mum still had it in a cupboard but i think my sister through it out when she cleaned up the house after the old dears death. Man it would be old if i hada kept it, it would be over 35 years old now, so was at least 25 years old and completely complete when ma passed.
