    Hey all,

I'm James, 18 and I'm from New Zealand. My WW2 interest is Bomber Command; I'm a great-nephew to two Pathfinder Force airmen (P/O D.J. Marks, DFM - pilot and F/Lt F. Prebble, DFC - bomb aimer). I'm glad I found this community!

I hope to contribute to the site in some way!!

    ~ James

    Welcome James

You and David Layne have a lot in common - a 97 Squadron connection!

Lancaster ED862 being lost in July 1943, there is only two months difference between David's connection. Bet you'll have a lot to talk about.

    Yes, we will Kyt.

His father, Wally Layne, flew as W/Op in F/Lt Fletcher's crew in 97, who flew ED862 on several ops (ED862P - "Spurius" flew 11 ops from her arrival to her death on 30.7.43).
