    Hello to everyone!
I am a principal in Germany and a new member in this forum. I'm very interested in authentic german books and magazines from the time of ww2. I do have some very interesting authentic items and would like to get contact to other people with this special interest. :) May be collectors? Or everyone else .....

    Ingrid, welcome to the forum!

Do you have an existing collection of German books and magazines? What about other media like news reels?

    Hallo Sarge,
yes, i do have some very rare (because forbidden now) magazines....authentic from this time....full of pictures and propaganda. And I have some books. I do buy and read and then after a while I sell and buy new ones....and so one....I also have a very rare 3d-book about Hitler's soldiers ("The war in the west") with the special glasses and 100 stereo pics. I think this is a really rarity. I am not a collector but I'm interested in reading this. I'm interested in the history of this time.....should be normal for a German. Then I talk with people about this books and magazines.
It is important for me to say: "I am not a nazi!" But this is a part of german history and I try to understand how this could happen. This big manipulation from millions of people.....
Do you have also some interesting books or magazines?

WW2 history has always interested me, but German WW2 history has always fascinated me because so many things went on during that time was not known to the rest of the world until after the war. The technology, the occultism, and of course, the atrocities.

I have a small collection of German WW2 newsreels(digital format) and some time ago also had a digital collection of both American and German propaganda posters. Most of these things can be found on the internet which is why I deleted my propaganda collection but I've held onto the newsreels.

Oh....very interesting....the magazines i have and the books are not allowed to sell or just to show in Germany....because there is a lot of propaganda inside and the politicans fear it could come in the wrong hands. So....sometimes I find this things when I look around in antique markets and house clearings.....and sometimes i could buy. Specially the 3d book is a worthfull thing because it is one of the first 3d books in Germany. I often see books about special units of Hitlers army or about the tanks or airplanes.....i did not buy everything what I found. I see this things again and again but they get more and more rare. I try to recognize what is worth to buy .....what have you done with your collection?

Because my collection was entirely digital, I deleted it. I only saved the newsreels because I was unable to find them publicly on websites. It's difficult to maintain a collection of such things, especially when it isn't exactly something I can show the kids(yet, anyway).

Yes, I agree. From which year are your newsreels?

Sorry about that! I have 6 total, from 1942-1944. 2 of them span 2 volumes and I am missing a part 3 of another. Not really a good "collection" I suppose. I'm going to research these and see if I can find them online somewhere. I'll let you know if I find anything and perhaps start a new thread about it.
