My maternal grandfather was a POW in the later period of the war, capture while serving with the Royal Irish Rifles on March 21, 1918. To me, his diary as an Officer tells more the story of a chap at Summer Camp than in a POW camp. His original story : POW Diary of A/Capt. J. A. C. Kennedy I would be interested to see others, if they are available, as I suspect those of the enlisted men would tell a different story!
