This young man is buried in Deansgrange Cemetery Blackrock Co. Dublin but I can't find anything on him ... can you ? Corporal Robert Kingston (25), Military Cross, died at Upwood aerodrome, Ramsey on 2nd November 1918. He was the eldest son of John and Catherine Kingston of 2 Crofton Avenue, Kingstown
Annie He's not mentioned in Airmen Died, so he wasn't serving in the RAF. A corporal with an MC is very unusual! Gareth
Mmmm ! ... I'm still looking too ! ... maybe Mum and Dad put the MC on there ..... ( it was surprising to me when I was research the Charge of the Light Brigade how many headstones in America included the phrase "one of the 600 " !! .... if we added them all up ... it was more like at least 6000 !! ) as it was a private grave ! Found this ... but I have no idea where to look next !! R.A.F. UPWOOD 1917-1919 http://www.rafupwood.co.uk/index2.html

the clue's in the parents names. I think whoever did the original transcription put Kingston down as the surname when thinking of Kingstown the town rather than entering the family name Gray. http://www.cwgc.org/search/casualty_details.aspx?casualty=899537 He's living with the family in the 1911 census for Dublin http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Dublin/Kingstown_No__3/Crofton_Avenue/90536/
