Did ASC entities in France keep a war diary similarly to fighting battalions?

If they did where would they be held - presumably British N A.

One of my grandfathers was a driver in the ASC for nearly four years in France, I know a
fair bit about him unit etc., but have no idea as to where he may have been employed.

    Hello David,

The surviving ASC war diaries are in WO 95, along with everything else. It's just a question of teasing them out. The NA search engine is not exactly user friendly.

What unit are you looking for?

    Phil,
My grandfather (never met him, he lived in Jersey and his son migrated to Oz) was attached
to 405 coy, 15th Auxiliary H.T. coy (Busses). That much I cand tell from the remains of his service
docos which are badly burned and only partially readable. viz Arnside St bombing in 1940.

    Thanks Phil,
I will have to keep that info in my notebook if I ever manage to get to UK.
