Does anyone know where Crucifix Hill is, I am planning a trip to Ypres in October to attend the last post at the Menin Gate, while we are there I would like to find Crucifix Hill, my uncle was killed there in April 1918, he was in the 9th Battalion Norfolk Regiment. I would be very grateful for any help.
I do not know, but am curious to find out as well. It would be very moving to visit the site where a famil member had sacrificed a life to defend the values and beliefs we hold so dear. Good luck to you and I hope that you find what you are looking for.
Thank You for your good wishes, I now know it is somewhere near Polygon wood, still not sure where but I am hopeful I will find it. His name is on the wall of the missing at Tyne Cott, so I am going to visit there. If I found out any more I will let you know.
I was just reading this article on wikipedia, it looks like a large area and had over 20,000 British and Australian casualties. Maybe talking to some locals will help?
