Somme), Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders, and WW2; BEF France, Dunkirk, 4 squadron RAF, and RAF in Burma.
Yes, Peter, We are actively searching for four members of our family who were on active service in the first world war, and all survived although not all intact. We have made good progress but we are still seeking information on dates and times and incidents. It's been really surprising how much is available on-line and we have discovered some quite amazing information. However we feel there is much more to discover, and its proving to be a really enlightening investigation. Hugh

Welcome to forum, your the second person who's posted looking for WWI information which is awesome. I'm a huge WWI buff. I would suggest going through the multitude of WWI threads on this forum. There a few database post as well so you should be able to search through those and make your journey for information rather swift.
