    Took off Wellesbourne 1335 for a navigation exercise. Over Roade at 1720 the plane was struck by Lightning and exploded. The all-Canadian crew were interred at Brookwood Cemetery, near Pirbright Surrey.

    This man died over our village - Roade, in 1944. We would very much like to contact his family and friends.
