2Lt L Belloc of No 209 Sqn RAF, was killed in action while flying Sopwith Camel F6028 on 26 August 1918. He was on a low level patrol when hit by anti aircraft fire at 07:30 - the Camel crashed into trees near Remy. F6028, which was delivered to the squadron only three days earlier, was one of three Camels lost by No 209 Sqn that day.

On 21 Augusty 2Lt Belloc was landing Camel C59 when he overshot Bertangles aerodrome and crashed into hangars - he was unhurt. C59 was rebuilt as H7093

This info about Louis Belloc saved me a trip to the Public Records Office in Kew or a similar archive. I couldn't find any details in 'The Times'. Thank you for taking the trouble to post this information on the forum. Jeremy Malies
