I found this video fascinating. It is the only known example of the Italian Pavesi prototype semi-automatic rifle. Externally, it has a very SVT-40 appearance, though mechanically, it is very different. One can't help but wonder if the Italian experience on the Eastern Front didn't influence the cosmetic nature of the rifle. Anyway, I enjoyed the video, so I thought I'd pass it along. Cheers!
And an interesting follow up video is another prototype. This one actually is a copy, of sorts, of the Soviet SVT-38/40. It is, however, chambered in the powerful 8x59mm Breda cartridge. Details are scant, but it does set the mind abuzz considering the rifle's provenance. Cheers friends.
