Im seeking any info on 9RTR in 1942 - I have a copy of Peter Beale's book "Tank Tracks" but havent been able to trace much of their movements and bases in this particular year, just references to training etc. They were in Eastbourne area and also went to Scotland and NE prior to being at Farnborough etc in 1944 before Normandy. My uncle got married in Harrogate in July 42 and his wife was from Eastbourne, so I was wondering if the unit was at a training camp in Yorks (Catterick?) and for how long etc. Would like to trace the units movements and chronology for this year. Does anybody have access to war diaries etc? He was with 5 squadron. thanks Richard
