Gareth Jenkins, Albert Mortimer played for Wales Internationals: 2 : 1895 I+ ; 1896 E- Albert Jenkins was born in 1872 in Ringwood, Lancashire. Played as a Forward for: Swansea Profession: The Church. Remarks: Archdeacon of Pretoria, South Africa. War service: Chaplain to the Army in East Africa. He died on 3 July 1861 at Bromley.

Couldn't find a medal card but I assume thats because he was in East Africa !! Points : 0 Albert Mortimer Jenkin played as a forward for Wales on 2 occasions (Ireland 1895 and England 1896). Albert made his debut for Swansea in 1893 and was made captain in 1895/96 but resigned in the November ‘because of professional duties’. Billy Bancroft took over as captain for the remainder of the season. He also played for Cambridge University and Glamorgan. He was ordained in 1902 and during the 1st World War served as an army chaplain in East Africa. He later became Archdeacon of Pretoria.
