    Internationals: 12 : 1903 W+ I+ E+ ; 1904 W- I- E+ ; 1905 W- I- E+ ; 1906 W- I+ E-

    Alexander Cairns was born on 26 April 1878, in Hamilton

    Played as a Forward for: George Watson’s College, Watsonians, Oxford University (Blue 1899-1901)

    Profession: Writer to The Signet

    War service: Lieutenant, Lothians and Border Horse; Captain and Adjutant, 32nd Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, 4th Division

    He died on 8 April 1968
