Gareth Allport, Alfred played for England Internationals: 5: 1892 W+ ; 1893 I+ ; 1984 W+ I- S- Alfred Alllport was born on 12 September 1867. Played as a Forward for: London International College Isleworth, Guy’s Hospital, Blackheath, Barbarians, Surrey Profession: Medicine, Royal Army Medical Corps War service: Captain, County of London Royal Army Medical Corps (Volunteer) – late Captain 1st City of London Volunteer Artillery – from 2 August 1918, later Temporary Major, Royal Army Medical Corps, attached to Military Hospital, Rochester Row. Remarks: He was a Consultant Surgeon at St Paul’s Hospital. Played for Barbarians: v Hartlepool Rovers (9-4) in 1890; v Cardiff (3-7) v Bradford (0-14) v Huddersfield (2-7); v Cardiff (10-0) v Gloucester (9-10) v Corinthians (12-14) v Leeds (0-2) in 1892.
