    This is one of a series of posts to mark the international Rugby players who served in, and survived, The Great War. If anyone has further information on the men concerned, I’d be most grateful if it could be added to the thread.

    Played as a Forward for: Royal Belfast Academical Institute, Queen’s College Belfast

    Profession: Medicine

    War service: Civil surgeon with the South African Field Force, Royal Army Medical Corps

    I can't get the full obituary I'm afraid as I don't have a subscription .... but ...... !!

    Although there is a different date on scrum ... as it's the 1st January ... it makes me believe they don't really know the date !! :confused:

    Heres a bit more ... so it looks to me he died of his injuries in February ...... ! wish I could get a bit more ! :(
