I have never seen Pathfinder Wings with R.A.F. on them, has anyone else? * R.A.F. PATHFINDERS = METAL BREAST WINGS - King. on eBay, also Badges, World War II 1939-1945, Militaria, Collectables (end time 03-May-09 18:30:19 BST)
The more I think about it the more convinced I am that they are reproduction. A low opening bid and located in Italy doesn't inspire one with too much confidence.
Ulric Cross, front row, 4th from left is wearing a PF badge - note no crown on top, just eagle & wings
That's a standard (late war I think) forage cap badge and/or collar badge - depends upon the lugs and dimensions (which aren't given in the listing) as which it is. A true Pathfinders will be bigger, better cast, golden/silver colour, and as Jerome states, without the King's Crown. It will also be a pin back. Royal Air Force - Pathfinder
looks very similar to a few sweetheart brooches I've seen where it was common to make changes to the pathfinder crest. However I'd steer clear David, little to no info and a bad scan? rings of con.
