Gareth Laing, Arthur Douglas (‘Podger’) played for Scotland Internationals: 7 : 1914 W- (1c) I- E- ; 1920 F+ W + I+ ; 1921 F- Arthur Laing was born in 1892. Played as a Prop/lock for: Royal High School, Royal High School Former Pupils, Mother Country Profession: Brewer War service: He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Royal Scots on 19 November 1915. Captain “A H Laing” (almost certainly the same person) played one game for Mother Country in the King’s Cup in 1919. He died on 24 November 1927.
