How weird ? ..... this was in the news today ... when I was just reading about him yesterday when trying to find WW1 information on Ranji !! I'm not a cricket fan but apparently those two men were supposedly THE BEST !!!!!!!!! Bradman the best? Yes, by far. No one has come near his average in tests. When he was still alive, I think he rated Indian batsman, Sachin Tendaulkar, the little master, as the best batsman of the modern era. I read something yesterday about the four extra runs to make his average 100 possibly being "found". Don't know how you "find" runs but maybe some records were wrong. Either way, still the greatest.
Like I said Andy .... I'm no cricket fan !! :noidea: but .... Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji was in the same class as Bradman .. though he was a little earlier !! ( he played with WG Grace !! ) Cricinfo - Players and Officials - Ranji NationMaster - Encyclopedia: Kumar Shri Ranjitsinhji
Ah, yes, WG Grace. Another of the all-time greats. I'm certainly a fan but I'm afraid I don't know a lot of history. Got enough to learn between 1939 and 1945!
