Due to a recent "tidy up" I cannot find my book on regimental badges :(

I'm not 100% sure that this is a British/Commonwealth badge but would appreciate any help in IDing it (sorry about the quality but it had to be cropped and enlarged from a larger picture of a piece of militaria)

First glance I would say not British or Empire.

The crown is that of a viscount or similar, and not a British Royal crown.

The ?double eagle is more than likely to be Austrian. Outside chance of Russia or Finland.

I'll have a dig round tonight in my stuff...

Having had a thought, and the fact that it may be a Choggi made item, we can look at a couple of Regts, with the caveat that it is a bazaar made item.

    1st KDG
    14th Hussars
    14th/20th Hussars
    26th Hussars

Which is probably why the crown is all wrong, and it is a bit mad.

The other option is that it is a personal coat of arms!

I have had thoughts on Austrian or even Russian or Finnish....The crown is that of a Viscount (not the biscuit), and doesnt fit with much else
