    Dear friends,

    1) I have bought recently a named British War Medal: C318371 I. Du Toit. The 'C' means that the recipient is colored? This is South African issue? Is there any way I could get the recipient's first name and regiment?

    2) "The India Service Medal states that the medal is awarded to officers and men of the Indian forces for 3 years non-operational......." what does non-operational mean?

    thank you in advance

    Roy,

Non Operational means that they served for 3 years outside of a conflict or war zone. Hope that helps
