Gareth Gibson, Charles Osborne Provis MC DL played for England Internationals: 1 : 1901W- Charles Gibson was born on October 1876 Played as a Forward for: Uppingham School, Oxford University, Northern, Barbarians, Northumberland Profession: Solicitor War service: Served in the 4th Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers from 16 September 1914; he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on that day, having previously served in the Uppingham School Contingent, Junior Division, Officers Training Corps. Captain, 1/4th Northumberland Fusiliers, 149th (Northumberland) Brigade, 50th (Nothumbrian) Division; MC 3 June 1916, Mentioned in Despatches 1915 and 1918. Remarks: Brother of internationals and Barbarians George Ralph Gibson and Thomas Alexander Gibson. Played for Barbarians: v Cardiff (3-27) in 1899. Colonel in the Territorial Army. He died on 9 November 1931, in Stocksfield, Northumberland
